BLANK VOID
As I walked that barren day to the testing room, the dimmed lights of the empty hall made my inner voice shout a silent scream. I struggled to think of what I'd missed; had I been wondering danger were it wasn't. And as I sat thoughtless, I could only but see through the gray glass of the grey window to the gray sky the cold clouds dripping lifeless tears. For us to see color where it wasn't and see light where the sun last stroke. To fuel ourselves with an empty ambition to control what could have once been an opportunity, but which wasn't there, not anymore. And short were the good times, and short they were.
